Chicken and squash curry

1 pound of chicken pieces, defrosted1/8 cup of oil1 cup cubed squash1 tsp. curry powder1 tsp. cumin1/2 tsp. coriander1/4 tsp. chili powder1/2 tsp. turmeric powser1 medium onion2 green chiles3 cloves garlicSalt6 oz. water
Fry garlic in oil first, then add onion and salt. Fry together until onion is brown and translucent. Add in the assorted powders one at a time, mixing each in before adding the next. Add in chicken and mix until the liquid from the chicken is mostly gone. You can tell if this is happening if the oil starts to bubble rather than the liquid. Add the squash, and cook for an additional 5 minutes. After this, add water and boil until squash is cooked. Add more liquid along the way if necessary.
