Ingredients
Directions
3 slices Dempster's whole grain bread, shredded into crumbs1 cup milkpaprika, black pepper, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, seasoning salt, chili powder, to taste1 cup shredded carrot1 cup pumpkin puree1 cup chopped green/red bell pepper1 medium onion1 lb ground turkey1 lb ground beef2 cups beef broth
In large bowl, combine milk, bread crumbs & seasonings and allow to sit. Add all other ingredients EXCEPT broth, and combine with your hands.
Form into 2 large (or several smaller) loaves and place into 2 greased pans (I freeze one for another day!). Add 1 cup beef broth to each pan (I don`t add the broth if I'm freezing one loaf).
Bake at 350F for 1 to 1 1/2 hours (until meatloaf is cooked inside).
When cooked through, allow to sit a few minutes, then remove the loaf from the pan. You may add 2 tbsp flour to the drippings (and possibly a little more broth, mushrooms, etc) to make gravy for your meatloaf! (I like this better than ketchup).
Makes about 8 servings (4 per meatloaf).
