Lizzy Stuffed Peppers

4 eight ounce green bell peppers1 lb. lean ground beef1 cup onion chopped2 cloves garlic crushed24 oz. jar Prego spaghetti sauce1 cup raw white rice1/2 cup shredded pecorino romano cheeseTobasco to taste
Heat oven to 350
Cook rice
cut top out of peppers
Put peppers in 8x8x5 casserole dish
Brown beef add onion and garlic and chopped bits of top of peppers
Combine beef mixture, rice, half the Prego, Tobasco to taste and mix well
Fill peppers and pour remaining Prego over peppers
Bake covered 1 hours uncover and bake another 15 minutes
Let stand 10 minutes before serving
4 large servings or cut in half and make 8 servings
