Hank's Kidney Beans

Ingredients
1 cup onion, coarsely chopped2 tablespoons olive oil3 cups red kidney beans, drained1 8-oz. can tomato sauce1 teaspoon sugar (or equivalent sweetener)1 tsp salt.
Directions
Saute coarsely chopped onion in olive oil until softened.

Add 3 cups drained red kidney beans, 1 8-oz. can tomato sauce and sweetener of choice (I use Truvia. You can also use 1 tsp. of sugar). Add salt.

Cook over medium-to-low heat until thickened.

Can be served alone or with rice.
