Ingredients
Directions
200g butter200g brown sugar200g honey or golden syrup400g rolled oats50g dried fruit (raisins/dessicated coconut/glacé cherries/chocolate chips)(i add a 1/2 tsp of salt if the butter is unsalted)
Melt all the meltable bits in a pan then stir in the non-melty bits.
Squash into a suitably sized baking tray
Bake for 10-15 minutes at 180degrees Celsius (or until golden brown). I am erring on cooking them slightly thinner - around 2cm/1inch and cooking a little longer than 15 minutes. You still want them to be soft in the middle when they come out...but they're best (IMO) when they're chewy-sticky....
Put in airtight, lockable container in a very high place (so you don't eat them all in one go!)
Serving Size: makes 24 slices
