split peas & smoked turkey sausage soup

Ingredients
1 16 oz bag dry split peas1/2 cup each diced small:OnionsCeleryGreen bell peppersEat Smart Broccoli Slaw Mix, Eat Smart Sunrise Slaw1/2 Jalepeno (finely diced)1/2 Butterball Everyday Smoked Turkey Sausage (3.5 oz)diced small1/2 tsp each:blk pepper and garlic powder salt to taste
Directions
rinse peas, drain
cover with 8 cups of cold water

saute' remaining ingredients
add to peas

bring to boil
turn heat down to low, cover and cook 45 minutes to 1 hour to desired tenderness

salt to tast at the end
