2 c skim milk1/3 c white long grain rice1 bay leafground cinnamonground cardamomraisins sliced or slivered almonds2 tbs brown sugar
Put milk, rice and bay leaf in pot. cook on high til it boils, stirring frequently. Turn to low and simmer, stirring occasionally. you will have a film when you stir, this is good! Keep it on low til it thickens. Rice will start to look translucent. turn of flame, take out bay leaf, and add the rest of the ingredients. Refrigerate. It will thicken as it cools. serve slightly warm or chilled.
