Tandoori Kebabs

2 cups plain, yogurt1 large red bell pepper, cut into 1 inch chunks1 large red onion, cut into 1 inch chunks1# fresh pineapple, cut into 1 inch chunks1# chicken breasts, cut into 1 inch chunks1 Tbsp tandoori masalaRaita (recipe follows)
1. Line a collander with a double layer of cheesecloth or four layers of paper towels, set colander ina sink or over a large bowl. Empty the yogurt into lined colander and let drain about 30 minutes.
2. In a large bowl, mix strained yogurt with tandoori masala. Add chicken, stir to coat, cover and allow to marinate for at least 30 minutes.
3. Thread vegatables, pineapple and meat onto wet skewers, alternating each.
4. Lay kebabs on grill, cover lid on gas grill. Cook, turning once until vegetables are browned and chicken is no longer pink in the middle, 8-10 minutes.
RAITA
In a bowl, mix 3/4 cup yogurt with 1/2 tsp each of cumin, sugar, salt. Gently stir in 1/4 cup each of chopped cucumber, tomato, onion. Chill before serving with kebabs.
Serving Size: Makes 8 kebabs
