Ingredients
2 ea. 14.5 oz. cans Italian-Style Diced Tomatoes1 ea. 15 oz. can Tomato Sauce3 T. Wine (any kind)1 tsp. Italian Seasoning1 tsp. Basil1 tsp. OreganoGarlic to taste (I ran it w/3 tsps.)
Directions
Puree diced tomatoes in a blender. Put all ingredients in a medium size sauce pan and bring it to a boil. Cover and simmer on low heat for 45-60 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Makes 10 servings of 1/2 cup each (that's a good amount to go with 1 cup of pasta).

    I made this last night. Yummo! So much flavor! I will add red and yellow peppers along with mushrooms next time. I'm also thinking about turkey sausage as well. BUT this is an excellent base to start from Many Thanks! What I'm doing is dividing the rest in 2 portion ziplock bags and freezing them. - 12/2/10
