old fashioned beef burgers

Ingredients
2 slices white bread, crusts removed1/4 c milk1 lb extra lean ground beef1 extra large egg2 tsp minced garlic2 tsp worcestershire sauce1/2 tsp dried thyme1 tsp black pepper4 hamburger buns
Directions
cube bread small bowl. add milk. soak the bread in the milk 10 min. mash the bread with the back of spoon until fairly smooth. while bread is soaking, place beef in a medium bowl. add egg, garlic, worcestershire sauce, thyme, and pepper. when bread is done mix in with beef. Gently mix until just combined. Form the meaat mixture into 4 3/4 inch thick patties.
Preheat your barbecue to medium-high. Lightly oil the grill. grill the burgers about 4 minutes per side, or until entirely cooked through. tip: Putting oil on the pattie before cooking can help prevent sticking.
Dress buns anyway you choose. Enjoy
