Whole Wheat Waffles w/ Flax and Blueberries

Ingredients
2 C Whole Wheat Flour1/2 tsp Baking Soda1 Baking Powder3/4 tsp Salt2.5 Tbsp Granulated Sugar3 Eggs (medium or large)3 Tbsp Applesauce1 Tbsp Canola Oil2 C Milk, 1%1 Tbsp Lemon Juice1 1/4 C Fresh or Frozen Blueberries (do not thaw)3 Tbsp Flax SeedVegetable Spray for Waffle Iron
Directions
In a small bowl combine milk and lemon juice (or just use lowfat buttermilk, no juice) set aside.
Preheat Waffle iron, grease w/ spray.
In a medium bowl whisk together flour, soda, baking powder, salt and sugar.
Add eggs, applesauce, and oil to Milk Mixture. Combine dry ingredients and liquid ingredients together, let rest 5 min.
Fold in blueberries and flax seed. Ladle onto hot waffle iron and bake to desired crispness (I prefer these ones a little more well done). Enjoy w/ 1/2 Tbsp maple syrup, if desired.
