Low Calorie Vegetable Soup

Ingredients
1 Lg onion, chopped4 Carrots, chopped1/2 head cabbage, chopped4 stalks celery, chopped1 bay leaf1 46 oz cab V8 juice6 tsp beef soup basepepper to taste3 c water
Directions
Combine all ingredients and mix well. Bring to a boil, reduce heat. Simmer for 1 hr or until vegetables are tender. Remove bay leaf before serving.
