Braising/casserole steakonionred pepperplain yoghurtred lentilsbuttersunflower oilmedium curry powderground gingerground cuminground corianderground garliccardamom podsBeef/chicken stock
Mix the spices and yoghurt togethor. Dice the beef and mix into yoghurt mix. Fry the meat in the sunflower oil at a high heat for 10 mins, turning every now and again. Add sliced onion and red pepper. Continue to cook for another 5 mins. Add lentils and a pint of stock. Add 6 cardamon pods. Simmer for 2 hours and add extra water if needed. Season to taste.
Makes 4 small helpings or 2 adults and 2 childrens portions.
