Clean Buttermilk Flax Pancakes

Ingredients
1 c. whole wheat flour2 tsp. baking powder1/2 tsp. baking soda1/2 tsp. sea salt1 tbsp. real maple syrup (not that pancake syrup crap with the HFCS)1/4 c. ground flaxseed1 c. low fat or fat free buttermilk2 egg whites1 tbsp. unswtd applesauce1/2 tsp. vanilla extract1 1/4 c. almond milk
Directions
1.) In a large bowl, mix all dry ingredients.
2.) In another large bowl, combine all wet ingredients, except almond milk.
3.) Add wet mixture to dry. Mix until combined. The batter should be pretty thick.
4.) Add the almond milk to the mixture by the 1/2 cup.
5.) Drop batter onto sprayed griddle at 325 degrees by the 1/4 c.
6.) Cook roughly 1-2 minutes on each side.
7.) Enjoy!

Top with fresh berries or small amount of syrup. Calories not included for toppings.
