Ham Rice with a kick

Ingredients

1 cup rice (extra long grain) uncooked1 tbsp. butter1 medium onion, chopped2 cups chopped cooked ham1 tsp. seasoned salt1 tsp. ground black pepper1/2 tsp garlic powder1/2 tsp ground red pepperGarnishes: chopped fresh parsley, chopped tomatoes
Prepare rice according to package directions. Keep warm.
Meanwhile, melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat;add onion, and saute 8 minutes or until tnder. Stir in next 5 ingrdients. Cook 10 minuts or until thourhtly heated. Fold mixture into hot cooked rice. Garnish, i fdesired. Serve immediately.
Variation: add 2 15 oz cans black-eyed peas with jalapeno pepper, drained.
