Ingredients
Ingredients:Cumin seed, 0.25 tsp (remove)Turmeric, ground, 1 tsp (remove)Salt, 0.25 tsp (remove)Olive Oil, 1 1tsp (remove)Garlic, 2 cloves (remove)Ginger Root, 1 tsp (remove)Onions, raw, 1 cup, chopped (remove)Hot Chili Peppers, 2 pepper (remove)Red Ripe Tomatoes, 1 large whole (3" dia) (remove)Water, tap, 1 cup (8 fl oz) (remove)Cilantro, raw, 1 tbsp (remove)Chick Peas, 0.5 cup (remove)
Directions
Soak and cook chickpeas until chick peas are soft. Chop onions, hot green peppers and ginger in a blender and set aside. Chop tomato and garlic in blender and set aside. Take olive oil and cumin seeds and cook until seeds are dark brown. Add chopped onion mixture and cook till light brown. Add the chopped tomato mixture. Cook for three to four minutes. Add the chickpeas, turmeric powder and salt to taste. Add water and cook on slow heat for fifteen minutes, stirring occasionally. Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve hot.
