Ingredients
1/2 gallon whole milk2 pints Oysters1/2 stick butter1 tsp Worcestershire saucedash celery salt
Directions
Strain oysters (save liquid) and pick over for pieces of shell. Give oysters a quick rinse to remove any sand. Bring oysters and their liquid to a boil, reduce to a simmer and cook until their edges curl.
In a separate large sauce pan, scald milk (bring to a simmer but do NOT boil), add butter, oysters, worcestershire sauce. Add a dash of celery salt and serve. makes 8 1-cup servings.
