Veggie and Ground Beef Stir Fry

1/3 cup tamari sauce3 T balsamic vinegar2 t Thai red chili paste (optional)1 T butter or margarine1-2 cloves garlic, minced1 cup chopped onion1 T minced ginger root2 dried red chili peppers, chopped (optional)8 oz. baby bella mushrooms, sliced8 oz. lean ground beef3 cups broccoli florets2 cups sliced Brussels sprouts1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro1 T garlic pepper seasoning3 cups cooked basmati (or other) rice
1. In a small bowl, mix together 1/3 CUP TAMARI SAUCE, 3 T BALSAMIC VINEGAR, AND (if desired) 2 t THAI RED CHILI PASTE. Set aside.
2. In a wok or large frying pan, melt 1 T BUTTER OR MARGARINE on medium high heat.
3. Add 1-2 CLOVES MINCED GARLIC, 1 CUP CHOPPED ONION, 2 T MINCED GINGER ROOT, (if desired) 2 CHOPPED DRIED RED CHILI PEPPERS, AND 8 OZ. SLICED BABY BELLA MUSHROOMS.
4. Cook and stir until all ingredients are soft.
5. Add 8 OZ LEAN GROUND BEEF and cook and stir until meat is browned.
6. Add 3 CUPS BROCCOLI FLORETS, 2 CUPS SLICED BRUSSELS SPROUTS, and 1/4 CUP CHOPPED FRESH CILANTRO. Heat and stir until vegetables are hot and cooked but still quite crunchy.
7. Pour in tamari sauce mixture, and stir and cook until heated through. Reduce heat and let simmer 5 minutes to combine flavors.
8. Stir in 3 CUPS COOKED BASMATI RICE. Heat through.
9. Serve.
