Oats and Apples

1 3/4 cup water1 cup quick cooking rolled oats1/2 granny smith apple, peeled and finely diced (really any apple will do)1 tsp cinnamon2 tbs brown sugar
1.) Bring water to a boil in a medium-sized saucepan.
2.) Add the oats and boil for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
3.) Add the apples and cinnamon, cook on low heat for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through. The mixture should be thick and creamy.
4.) Remove from heat and ladle into serving bowls.
Serving Size: Makes 2 1 cup servings
