Spiced French Bread (for French Toast)

9 1/2 ounces water (80-90 degrees Farenheit, 1 cup+3 tablespoons)3 1/2 cups bread flour1 1/2 teaspoons sugar1 1/4 teaspoons saltspices (to taste--I use 1/4 teaspoon ginger, 1/4 teaspoon cloves, 1/4 teaspoon nutmet, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, depending on which spices I have in my pantry.)2 tablespoons butter or margarine2 teaspoons yeast
1. Add liquid ingredients to pan.
2. Add dry ingredients (except yeast). Level ingredients and make a well in the center.
3. Place butter/margarine in corners of pan.
4. Place yeast in center well.
5. Put pan in breadmaker. Set for basic bread, light crust.
Serving Suggestion--Use bread to make French toast or serve warm with butter/margarine.
Makes approximately 10 1/2 inch slices.
