Slowcooker Kale & Chicken

Ingredients
2 heads of Kale, about 10 cups choppedBacon, 3 medium slicesGarlic, 5 clove mincedCrushed Tomatoes, 1 14.5 oz. canChicken Thigh, skin and visible fat removedPaprika, 1 tsp 1 large onion, chopped2 cups chicken brothwhole wheat penne pasta, 13.25 oz. salt & pepper to taste
Directions
1. Brine chicken thighs in salt & sugar in cold water in fridge for 30 min. plus.
2. Brown chicken thighs.
3. Place chicken thighs in bottom of crockpot with 1 slices of bacon. Then layer on: half of the chopped kale, onion, garlic, 1 slice of bacon, remaining kale, paprika, salt & pepper, can of tomatoes, chicken broth, and last slice of bacon.
4. cook in crockpot 6-8 hours on low.
5. serve with penne (or other) pasta.
