My husband and I really liked this recipe. Thanks for sharing. I did make it an italian version, since I only had italian stewed tomatoes and italian turkey sausage. I did add 3 more cans of stewed tomatoes (blended) & added some italian seasoning. This recipe is flexible, use what you have. - 4/16/12

Great recipe and I hate cabbage!! A few changes though...cook beef then drain first. Used 3 cans undrained Rotel for some spice instead of Cajun seasoning and no water (cabbage makes water). I used a cup of rice which was barely noticeable as is. I substituted a green bell pepper for the celery. - 1/20/12

I will make this again and again. I used chicken tenders for the ground beef, more garlic, and sauted the onions and some red bell peppers to make them sweeter. I love heat so used a lot of creole seasoning...and didn't add any salt. DH loved it too and he's not on a diet. Thanks for the recipe. - 3/12/10

This was very good. We are jambalaya fans so I couldn't wait to try this. I substituted chicken for the beef - but I intend to try it with the beef at some point too. It tasted deceptively fattening - I even went back to double check the Ingredient Details to make sure we weren't missing something - 5/25/08
