Mayonnaise Cake with Caramel Butter Icing

For the cake:Mix together:2 C. flour3 Tbsp cocoa1 1/2 C. sugar2 tsp baking sodaNow add:1 C. salad dressing or mayonnaise1 C. cold water1 Tbsp vanillaIcing:1/3 C. butter or margarine (melted)1 C. light brown sugar (firmly packed)2 1/2 C. confectioners sugar1/4 C. milk
Grease and flour a 13 X 9 inch baking pan/dish.
Pour the mixed batter into the baking dish.
Bake at 350 degrees for at least 30 minutes.
Serving Size: Make 24 2-inch pieces
Icing:
Combine melted butter and brown sugar. Add confectioners sugar (sift if lumpy) alternating with the milk. Beat until smooth. If frosting is too thick to spread easily, beat in 1/2 tsp of milk at a time until able to spread easily.
