Chicken Paprikas & Halusky (Slovak recipe)

Ingredients
3 lb boneless, skinless chicken brasts, cut into 2"x2" pieces1 med. onion, chopped2 Tblsp butter or margarine2 tsp sweet paprika1 c. lowfat sour cream1/4 c flour1/2 c 1% milkDUMPLINGS:2 1/2 c flour2 eggs1/2 tsp salt3/4 c water3/4 c 1% milk
Directions
In a 6-quart pot, saute onion in butter; add paprika. Add chicken pieces and brown for 10 minutes. Next, add enough water to cover chicken, cover pot and cook about 3/4 hour until chicken is tender. In a separae bowl, blend flour, milk and sour cream. remove 1/2 cup chicken broth and add to sour cream mixture. Add this to chicken. Simmer an additional 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

DUMPLINGS: In large mixing bowl, combine all ingrediens to form eleastic-consistency dough. Beat well. Drop by taspoonfull into large pot filled 3/4 full with boiling water and 1/2 tsp salt. Cook about 5 minutes. When dumplings float to top, remove with strainer into separate bowl. Add butter.

Serve chicken and gravy over dumplings.
