4 to 4 1/2 pounds beef short ribs1/4 cup chopped green onions with tops1/4 Tamari or soy sauce (I used lite)1/4 beef broth or water (I used water to decrease sodium as well)1 TBS brown sugar2 Tsps minced fresh ginger or 1 tsp ground2 Tsps minced garlic1/2 tsp black pepper2 tsps dark sesame oil2 tsps sesame seeds, toastedHot cooked rice or linguini pasta (Not included in nutritional info)
Directions
1. Place ribs in 5-Quart slow cooker. Combine green onions, tamari or soy sauce, broth or water, brown sugar, ginger, garlic and pepper in medium bowl; mix well and pour over ribs. Cover; cook on Low 7 to 8 hrs, 3 1/2 to 41/2 on High or until ribs are fork tender.
2. Remove ribs from cooking liquid. Cool slightly. Trim excess fat. Cut rib meat into bite-sizes pieces, discarding bones and fat.
3. Let cooking liquid stand 5 minutes to allow fat to rise. Skim off fat.
4. Stir sesame oil into liquid. Return beef to slow cooker. Cover; cook 15-30 minutes or until hot.
5. Serve with rice or linguini; garnish with sesame seeds.

Mmmm! Really good! (And ridiculously easy!) Unfortunately, I started snacking on it as soon as I started cutting it up. I served it with Sriracha hot chili sauce (for my husband) and sweet red chili sauce (for me) on the side. And, of course, rice and edemame. - 2/25/10

I made this over the weekend. It was a huge hit! I used 5 pounds of ribs, low sodium soy sauce, used 1.5 for the serving liquid, and added 2 TBSP of bold and spicy A1. It is already gone! - 3/7/19
