Garlicky Bulgur Wheat

Ingredients
1 cup bulgur wheat3 cups water1 clove garlic, minced1 Tbsp. olive oila dash of black pepper2 tsp dried parsley
Directions
Makes 4 servings

heat the water in a pot to boil
rinse the bulgur under cold water then add to boiling water
reduce heat and cook, stirring once in a while until water is almost absorbed
add garlic, parsley and olive oil and cook until water is completely absorbed (about another 3 minutes)

serve hot as a side dish

    This was really good! I doubled the recipe for my family and added 2 chicken stock cubes to the boiling water. I also didn't have parsley so substituted basil instead. It was very tasty! - 4/15/10

    Better if you use chicken stock instead of water. Be careful with the garlic, as it can easily become overpowering very quickly - 5/8/08
