Portobello Burgers

1/2 T olive oil2 T balsamic vinegar1/2 tsp thyme1/8 tsp ea salt & pepper4 portobello mushroom caps4 "ultra thin" sliced provolone cheese2 T low fat mayo1 T capers (optional)2 whole wheat burger buns
Mix together the oil, vinegar, thyme, salt & pepper. Lay mushrooms on a baking sheet. Brush mushrooms on both sides with marinade. Pour any extra over mushrooms. Marinate at room temp 15-30 minutes.
Mix mayo and capers together and set aside.
Broil mushrooms 4 minutes per side. Place 1 slice of cheese on each mushroom and return to the oven for a minute to melt cheese.
Spread mayo on both sides of the burger buns. Stack two mushroom "patties" on each bun. Top burgers with your favorite toppings, lettuce, tomato, onion, avocado, etc.
