Spice-Rubbed Steaks & Pan Salsa

6 oz Top Sirlion Steak1 tsp Chili Powder1/2 tsp Cumin Seed, toasted and ground1/2 tsp salt (divided)1 tsp extra-virgin olive oil2 plum tomatoes, diced1/2 Jalapeno Pepper, minced (optional)1 clove Garlic, minced2 tsp lime juice1 Tbsp Fresh Cilantro, chopped
1. Sprinkle both sides of steak with chili powder and 1/4 tsp of salt. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steak and cook, turning once, 2-3 minutes per side, depending on thickness and desired temperature. Transfer steak to plate, cover with foil and let rest while you make the salsa.
2. Add tomatoes, jalapeno, garlic, lime juice and the remaining 1/4 tsp salt to the pan and cook, stirring often, until the tomatoes soften, about 3 minutes. Remove from heat, stir in cilantro and any accumulated juices from the steak. Serve steak topped with salsa.
