Directions
Heat oven to 375 F.

Mix sugars, butter, vanilla and egg in large bowl. Stir in flour, baking soda and salt (dough will be stiff). Stir in chocolate chips.

Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until light brown (centers will be soft). Cool slightly; remove from cookie sheet. Cool on wire rack.

NOTE: I MADE THIS RECIPE USING SPLENDA GRANULATED SUGAR & BROWN SUGAR. THE COOKIES TASTED AWESOME!! THE NUTRITION FACTS LISTED ARE NOT USING THE SPLENDA SUBSTITUTES (so minus some of those calories)!!

Makes 2 to 3 dozen cookies depending on how big you like your cookies.

How does this fall under sugar free? - 8/6/12

Very, very good! I also used mini chocolate chips, though. - 8/13/11

These were really good! I used 1 cup of miniature semi-sweet chips instead of the 2 cups regular chips called for in the recipe, to lower the calorie count a tad. - 9/29/09

I wanted to make these this weekend but I want to use splenda instead of actual sugar. Is it the same measurement for a sugar substitute? - 3/12/09

These cookies are wonderful! I used the whole package of chocolate chips instead of half. My boyfriend didn't even notice that I used Whole Wheat flour! I will definitely make these again! Oh, I also made them as bar cookies and I baked them for 20 minutes. Simply amazing! - 3/8/09

Very easy and super tasty. Can't even tell it's whole wheat!! (my son just ate 6 while I was doing the dishes with my back turned so apparently the kids give a thumbs up!) Thank you! - 12/22/08
