Ingredients
4 TB cornstarch1/2 ts cinnamon1 1/2 C apple juice-unsweetened1/4 C unpacked brown sugar-or sucanet2 apples chopped and skinned
Directions
mix cornstarch and cinnamon together in saucepan. Add apple juice and brown sugar. Heat on med-low until bubbly and thick. Add apples stir until warmed through. Pour over waffles, pancakes, biscuits. You can add sausage if you like but I did not add that into the nutritional workup. 1/2 C servings

    i didn't care for this recipe for 2 reasons. first, it did not have enough flavor as prepared. i added a little splenda and a dash of salt to bring out more flavor. the other reason i didn't care for it is because the leftovers did not reheat well. - 8/16/08

    This is delicious! My family and I had it on our waffles as an alternative to storebought syrup. We all loved it! I think it would also be delicious on some Fat-Free Vanilla Ice cream! YUM! BTW...My husband and I had the leftover syrup on the FF Vanilla Ice Cream. DELICIOUS!! - 4/3/08
