Brown Rice Pilaf

Ingredients

Directions
Warm oil in sauté pan over medium heat. Add onion and garlic and sauté slowly, stirring, about 2 minutes. Add the rice and pine nuts and continue to sauté, stirring, 3 minutes more. Raise the heat, add the stock or water/bullion, and salt and pepper if desired and bring to boiling. Cover the pan tightly and cook for 15 minutes (white) to 30 minutes (brown) more, depending on the type of rice. Remove from heat and let stand 5 minutes before fluffing with a fork.
