Wheat-Bran Banana Muffins

A great treat that is tasty, nutritious, and low fat!2 medium Bananas1/2 cup white sugar1/2 apple sauce, unsweetened3 egg whites2 cups bran flakes1 TBS honey1 cup whole wheat flour 1/2 tsp. baking soda1/2 tsp. baking powder
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix bananas, sugar, honey, applesauce and egg whites together. Next add in the bran flakes and mix. Then in a separate bowl mix flour, soda, and baking powder together, and then add to wet mixture. Mix all together. In a 12 count muffin pan, grease or line each muffin hole with a paper liner.
Fill each one 3/4 full. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes (***to be sure they are done insert a toothpick or knife in the middle of a center muffin. If it pulls out clean, muffins are done). Makes 12 servings.
