Eggless Banana Nut Muffins

4 ripe bananas 3/4 cup sugar2 TSP melted butter (unsalted)1/3 C unsweetened applesauce1 tsp baking soda1 tsp baking powder1/2 tsp salt1 1/2 cups of flour (all purpose)1/2 C walnuts, chopped.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
Line muffin pan with muffin paper cups.
Mash bananas well. Add sugar, applesauce, and melted butter. Chop and add the walnuts, reserving 2 tbsp for sprinking on top. Mix the dry ingredients really well or sift and then add to banana mixture.
Mix batter just enough to bring everything together. Fill muffin cups about 2/3 to the top and sprinkle with remaining chopped walnuts.
Bake for 20 minutes or till the muffins are golden brown. This makes 18 medium muffins.
