Baker's liver & onions

Ingredients
18 oz lamb liver (can use calf liver)1 medium onion thinly sliced3T unsalted butter (margarine)6 t cane sugar (~ 2 T)1/4 c flour1/2 c water
Directions
In a large skillet heat 1 1/2 T butter over medium heat. Add onions and saute until translucent. Add 3 tsp sugar. Remove from pan.
Meanwhile, dust flour over the liver, season with salt to taste. Saute them in pan where onions were about 2-3 minutes per side.
Place the onions back in pan along with water and simmer. Add flour till desired thickness is reached.
Serves 4.
