Barb and Ed's Fettuccine with Chicken & Broccoli Rabe

2 bunch broccoli rabe - cleaned and chopped6 oz. fettuccine4 tsp. olive oil12 oz. boneless skinless chicken breast - cubed1 tsp. sea salt1 tsp. oregano1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper1 med. onion - thinly sliced and separated into rings4 cloves garlic - crushed2 tbsp. parmesan cheese1/4 tsp. fresh ground black pepper
In large pot of boiling water, cook the broccoli rabe 2 minutes. With a slotted spoon, transfer to a bowl. In the boiling water, cook the fettuccine according to package. Drain.
In large skillet, heat 2 tsp. of olive oil. Add the chicken, salt, oregano, and red pepper and saute until cooked through. Transfer to plate.
In the skillet heat the remaining 2 tsp. olive oil, saute onion and garlic unti tender. Stir in the broccoli rabe and cook stirring frequently until tender.
Add fettuccine, chicken, sprinkle with parmesan cheese and black pepper.
