5 cups rolled oats1 cup sliced almonds1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans1/2 cup raw sunflower seeds1/2 cup raw pumpkin seeds1/3 cup canola oil1/2 cup agave syrup, honey or maple syrup 1 teaspoon vanilla extract1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees F (150 degrees C).
2. In a large bowl, stir oats, nuts and seeds together. In a separate bowl, mix together oil, agave syrup, vanilla and cinnamon. Add to dry ingredients; mix well. Spread mixture onto two ungreased baking sheets.
3. Bake in preheated oven, for 10 minutes, remove from oven and stir. Return to oven for 10 minutes, remove from oven and stir. Return to oven and continue baking until golden, about 5 minutes. Alternate the shelf the baking sheets are on each time you return them to the oven. Remove from oven and let cool completely before storing.
Add dried fruit if desired.
