SOAK BEANS AND WHEAT BERRIES OVERNITE. DRAIN AND ADD FRESH WATER TO COVER. SIMMER TIL COOKED. PUT OIL IN SOUP POT, ADD ONIONS AND PEPPERS. SAUTE TIL SOFT THEN ADD GARLIC BEING CAREFUL NOT TO BURN. THEN ADD TOMATOES. BEANS AND WHEAT BERRIES ALONG WITH CHILI POWDER. SIMMER ABOUT 1/2 HOUR TIL FLAVORS BLEND. ADD SALT TO TASTE
