Traditional Banana Bread with Almonds

1.25 Cups Splenda For baking.5 Cup Real Butter softend2 Eggs1.5 Cups Mashed bananas (3 medium).5 Cup lowfat Buttermilk1 tsp Vanilla Extract2.5 Cups Whole wheat ground flour1 Tsp Salt1 Cup Sliced Almonds
Preheat oven to 350 and grease 2 loaf pans. In a large mixing bowl add sugar and butter and mix until well blended. Add eggs and mix well again. Add buttermilk. Add flour and mix by hand only until flour is just moistend. Add bakaing soda, and salt. Carefully stir in almonds. Divide batter between both pans and place in oven for 1 hour. To check when done insert toothpick, when it comes out clean bread is done. Loosen sides of the loafs and move to wire cooling racks for 2 hours before slicing. Both loafs create 24 slices each.
