Rita's hot fudge pudding cake

Granulated Sugar, 1 cup Cocoa, dry powder, unsweetened, .5 cup*Wheat flour, white, all-purpose, unenriched, 1 cupBaking Powder, 2 tsp Salt, .25 tsp Milk, nonfat (skim milk), .5 cupButter, unsalted, .5 stick Egg Yolk, 1 largeVanilla Extract, 2 tsp *chocolate chip semisweet minis 1 T = 1 Serv, 8 serving
Adjust oven rack to middle position and heat to 350. Spray 8" square pan. Whisk half c. sugar with .25 cup cocoa in sm bowl. Whisk flour, remaining sugar, remaining cocoa, baking soda and salt in large bowl. Whisk wet ingredients in medium bowl until smooth. Stir milk mixture into flour mixture until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips. Put batter in pan spreading to corners. Sprinkle reserved cocoa mixture evenly over top. Pour 1 cup boiling water over cocoa. DO NOT STIR. Bake until cake looks cracked, sauce is bubbling and toothpick comes out with moist crumbs attached - about 25 minutes. Cool on rack for at least 10 minutes.
