Nana's Irish Soda Bread

.5 c dark raisins.5 c gold raisins4 c all-purpose flour.75 c granulated sugar1 tblsp baking powder1 tsp baking soda1 stick melted butter2 eggs2 c buttermilk1 tsp caraway seedspinch of cream of tartar
Preheat oven 325 Deg F. Sift together all dry ingredients. Add melted butter and mix with dry ingredients. In a separate bowl beat eggs, add buttermilk. Add to dry ingredients. Add raisins and caraway seeds.
Place in two well greased loaf pans. Bake for 50 to 60 minutes. Check with a cake-tester at 50 minutes.
Cool on rack. Slice when cold.
Serving Size: Makes 2 loaf, about 20 slices.
