Easy and excellent! IF YOU HAVE A GRIP ABOUT THE SODIUM, LEAVE THE SALT OUT AND QUIT WHINING!!! You can also use low salt or sodium free salt. - 5/3/08

Looking forward to trying this! Try making your own sausage (or just brown turkey and add remaining to the pot).To 1-lb lean ground turk.add 3/4 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp rubbed sage, 1/2 tsp pepper, 1/4 tsp ground ginger. Instead of criticizing, why not ask for help in changing what doesn't work for you? - 5/21/08

This was YUMMY!! I chopped up all the veggies the night before to save time. It turned out great! Whole family liked it. - 5/15/09

While it may seem high in sodium, SP ingredients don't take into account that we can rinse the canned beans. Its also taking into account the sausage & tomato sauce. A third your daily calories (its a meal, shouldn't it be?), about 1/2 daily sodium.. so eat less sodium throughout the day. LOVE IT - 11/17/08

You extreme "health-nuts" should know right away that this is going to challenge a sodium content, etc. BUT, ya know, a little variety in life doesn't hurt. It's not like you are gonna have this dish every day! Will try it when I have some time to make it. Can it be made in crockpot? - 5/21/09

Very good and filling. I substituted the sausage with more shrimp which cut the fat content down and added extra hot sauce and red pepper flakes as we like it spicy! Definitely a favorite! - 5/4/09

Very good. For Those Wooried About sodium: use low or no sodium canned vegies or fresh.
It is a meal so adjust your intake for the rest of the day. - 5/3/09

I substuted the vegitable oil for olive oil and I think this taste is great. My son likes it a little hotter so he added some tabasco sauce to his plate after he was served. He claims it was not hot enough! Matter of taste, I guess!

Very yummy. The recommended 5 servings are very generous portions. This will feed me for a good 7 or 8 meals. I think next time I might add a bit more hot sauce, though. - 4/5/09

I really enjoyed this recipe. It is high in sodium but I also just watched my intake for the day. I would add more tabasco though the next time. - 2/9/09

Thank you! Nice variety of textures, a great recipe that can be modified for individual preferences! I don't eat meat and this works just as well.
Those concerned about sodium, don't use canned veggies - use fresh! - 11/18/08

This was fabulous. I entered it into the recipe calculator because I thought the count was too high. I used less rice, and mine came out to 6 huge servings of 350 calories/serving. I will make this again and again! Oh, also used Mexican canned tomatoes (with chilies). - 11/17/08

I made this recipe using lower sodium canned tomatoes and added my own cajun spices. Again, if sodium is an issue for you, just substitute chicken for the turkey sausages. Adjusting this recipe to suit your own dietary needs is very simple. This recipe is very flexible and excellent! - 5/21/08

Delicious! We left the shrimp whole, used red bell pepper & Trader Joes Brown Rice Medley (it was what I had on hand) DH states it is a keeper. THANK YOU for sharing! - 6/4/09

    Easy to make & makes a lot...great for leftovers! - 6/1/09

I halved the recipe and it was more than enough for 4 decent sized servings. Used Louisiana Hot Sauce instead of Tabasco and didn't have the cajun stewed tomatoes so I used plain petite diced but it came out very good all the same. We will cook this again. - 5/25/09

Nothing like good old Louisiana Jumbalya, but was tasty. I didn't use the turkey sausage, as I don't care for it. Thanks. - 5/21/09

I loved it! I made some changes because my kids can't eat spicy food, but it still tasted great. Thanks for sharing it! - 4/9/09

My family liked it OK but next time I would make it spicier, we like a kick. - 12/29/08

My family loved this recipe. My daughter asked that we add it in the rotation of meals. - 11/26/08

Great recipe, but my rice was a little sticky because I made it earlier in the day and put it in a crockpot, plus it was not a big hit for my husband or children - unfortunely they are very hard to please. I enjoyed it and would make it again for myself. - 11/23/08

WOW! - You have to try this! I could not find the stewed cajun tomatoes so I used fire roasted with garlic. I will definately be making this one again and again - 11/20/08

Great ... makes a huge quantity, full of hearty ingredients. I added more water and probably used more of each main ingredient as I struggle converting ounces to grams. Family will adore left overs reheated. - 11/18/08
