Indian Chapati without oil

1c flour (either white or brown)1 dash saltenough water to make a smooth dough
Make the dough early and let it rest in between it makes softer chapati.
Mix the flour & salt with just enough water to make a smooth dough you can kneed. Kneed well by hand, divide into 6 portions and form a pattie.
Let it rest for 30minutes or longer
Use a non-stick pan (or even make it directly in the fire), which you heat well, then reduce to moderate heat.
roll out the patties into about 15cm diameter circles. put in the frying pan on moderate heat, keep turning over, so that they do not burn. The chapati needs to puff up like a baloon and be brown on boths sides, then it is ready. Keep in a warming dish or serve immediately
