Banana Bread

Ingredients
Flour, white, 2 cup Baking Powder, 1 T Salt, 1 tsp Shortening - All Vegetable, 1/4 cup Sugar, 1 cup Banana, fresh, 2 medium very ripe Walnuts, .25 cup, chopped Egg, fresh, whole, raw, 2 large Buttermilk, lowfat, .3 cup
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine dry ingredients in one bowl. Mash the bananas in another bowl, then add nuts, egg and buttermilk and beat together. Mix the dry ingredients and the moist ingredients and beat to blend thoroughly. Place the batter in a greased loaf pan. Bake 45-50 minutes for a standard 5x9 loaf pan.
