Low Fat Bisquick Chicken and Dumplings

Ingredients
2 large cans of Chicken broth (College Inn is what I use)6 chicken breasts2 sweet onions4 stalks of celeryCelery saltPeppergarlic powderPoultry seasoning or herbal mix ( to taste)Heart smart BisquickLow fat Milk (2% is what I use)Can add peas or carrots if you want.
Directions
Use two large cans (48 ozs) od College Inn broth
Cut onions in half and add
Clean four stalks of celery and add, whole
add seasonings, fresh veggie is wanted, and chicken. Simmer with lid on for 4-5 hours. When done, you can disguard the onion and celery and shred chicken and add back to broth. You can add cornstarch ifyou want to thicken the broth.
Mix Bisquick dumplings according to package directions and add to pot. When done serve alone, or over bed of rice or noodles.

    I make something very much like this, but don't use broth. It has too much sodium (3,568.4mg per serving! Yikes!) I use a whole chicken skinned/cut up; the bones make the broth. I remove the chicken from the bones, cut it up (or shred) and put it back int he stew. I always add peas and carrots. - 10/17/08
