Mom's Cabbage Patch Stew

1 lb lean ground beef1 tsp olive oil (or cooking spray)1/2 cup chopped onions1 cup diced celery1 15 oz can tomato sauce1 15 oz can diced tomatoes (no salt added)1 15 oz can kidney beans1 head of cabbage2 tsp chili powder1/2 tsp cumin1/4 tsp smoked paprika1/2 cup + 5 tbsp water
Saute the onions and celery in oil or cooking spray until translucent in a large soup pot. Add beef and brown. Add seasonings (chili powder, cumin, paprika to taste). Add tomatoes, sauce, and beans. Simmer on low heat. In separate skillet, lightly steam cabbage for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and let sit another 2 minutes. Combine cabbage with the rest of the stew and serve.
