Elk Chili

1 1/2 lb. ground elk meat3/4 c. chopped onion1/2 c. chopped green peppersalt & pepper to taste2 cans of pinto beans (or chili beans)1 can light red kidney beans2 cans diced tomatoes1 T. taco seasoning1/2 T. chili powder1 T. dried cilantro1 t. cumin
Cook the hamburger with the diced onions and diced green pepper. Once it is done, add the tomatoes, pinto beans (prefer chili beans), and kidney beans. Also add desired spices. (I used 1 T. taco seasoning, 1/2 T. chili powder, 1 T. dried cilantro, 1 t. cumin and salt & pepper). Bring to a starting boil then reduce heat, cover and simmer for an hour or more, stirring occasionally.
