Chickpeas and Beef, Turkish Style

Ingredients
2 c chickpeas 1lb beef cubes2 onions, peeled and chopped3 cloves garlic, peeled and chopped2 heaping tbsp of tomato paste3 tbsp vegetable oil4 c water
Directions
put chickpeas in bowl, cover with water and leave overnight to soak

chop onions and garlic and saute in oil for 10 minutes
add beef, cubed very small and cook for 10-15 more minutes
add tomato paste and half water..stir together
rinse chickpeas then with the remainder of water pour into pot and stir
cover and cook on med heat until chickpeas are cooked...about 40-60 minutes
makes 8 1c servings
