Braised Belgian Endive

Ingredients
1 1/2 Lbs Belgian Endive (about 6 heads)1/2 Tbsp Butter1/2 Tbsp Olive Oil2 Cloves of Garlic, minced1 oz Marsala Wine1/4 Cup Chicken Broth1/4 tsp Sugar1/4 tsp fresh ground pepperSplash of lemon juice
Directions
Brown endive in butter and olive oil until all sides are golden, for about 8 minutes.
Add garlic, wine, and broth; braise until liquid is reduced by half.
Sprinkle with salt, pepper, sugar, and a dash of lemon juice before serving.
