1 lb. Ground Turkey (93% lean)2 15 oz. cans of Tomato Sauce (for thicker sauce switch one can to tomato paste, or diced tomatoes)3-5 cloves of garlic, crushed1/2 Onion, chopped1 tbsp. of dried or fresh Oregano1 Bay leaf (remove before serving)1/4 tsp. Thyme, dried or fresh1/4 tsp. Rosemary, dried or fresh1/4 tsp. Fennel seed1/4-1/2 tsp. cinnamon (taste sauce after 1/4, if need more sweetness add more)Sea Salt to taste
In large skillet brown turkey on medium heat, stirring often until well browned. Add garlic and onion, cook until soft and fragrant. Add all spices to taste. Add tomato sauce. Cook over low heat for about 30 minutes, until flavors blend, stirring occasionally. Serve with whole grain noodles. I like brown rice noodles.
