1/4 pound bacon 1 medium head cabbage, coarsely chopped 4 oz of red/purple cabbage 1/2 cup chopped onion 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
In a pot, cook bacon over medium-high heat until crisp. Remove bacon from pot; let cool, then crumble and set aside.
Add remaining ingredients to the pot. Reduce heat to low, cover, and cook 15 to 20 minutes, or until cabbage is tender, stirring frequently.
Then add bacon back in and stir in.
Serving Size: makes 5 or 6 1/2 cup servings.
